At Enjoy Boat Rentals, safety is our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board, please review and follow the policies below when operating or enjoying the Fun-Ship:
Upper Deck Access: Passengers are not permitted on the upper deck while the boat is underway. The upper deck may only be accessed when the boat is completely stopped and the engine is off.
Capacity Limit: A maximum of four people are allowed on the upper deck at one time, regardless of size or weight. This rule helps maintain proper balance and stability while the vessel is anchored or drifting.
Slide Use: Jumping or diving from the upper deck is not permitted. The slide is the only approved and safe way to enter the water from the top deck.
Water Depth Requirement: The boat must be in at least 10 feet of water before using the slide. This requirement ensures passenger safety and prevents potential damage to the vessel.
Enjoy your time on the water, and thank you for helping us keep every Fun-Ship adventure safe and enjoyable for everyone!
To make your experience as convenient as possible, we ensure that each boat goes out with a full tank of fuel. You will only be charged for the exact fuel you use during your rental, plus an additional $10 refueling service fee. When you return, our team will measure how much fuel was burned and charge the cost to a card.
If you prefer to refuel the boat yourself to avoid the $10 fee, you may do so, but you must provide a same-day fuel receipt showing a full fill-up when you return.
We understand that weather conditions can sometimes impact your boating experience. Please review our official weather policy below:
If weather conditions on the day of your rental are deemed unsafe for boating, such as during heavy rain, lightning, high winds, or official weather advisories, you will be allowed to reschedule your reservation to another available date at no additional charge. (Within the same calendar year)
If you choose to proceed with your rental on a day when there is a forecasted chance of rain or unfavorable weather, and boating remains permitted, it is done at your own discretion and risk. In these cases, rescheduling will not be allowed once the rental has begun or if the boat is taken out on the water.
We monitor local weather conditions closely and will communicate with renters in advance if a weather-related cancellation or delay is necessary. Final decisions regarding weather-related rescheduling are made at the discretion of EBR staff.
Lake Michigan Access: If a Small Craft Advisory is in effect, access to Lake Michigan will be prohibited. However, boats may still be used on Spring Lake and the Grand River, weather permitting.
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled rental are eligible for a 90% refund, as a 10% processing fee applies to all cancellations.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of your rental are non-refundable, except in the case of unsafe weather conditions (such as storms, high winds, or lightning), in which case you may reschedule your rental to another available date. Please note that if you choose to go out despite a chance of rain or changing weather, rescheduling or refunds will not be permitted.
No-shows or failure to arrive on time will result in forfeiture of the full rental amount.
Late Arrivals: Please plan to arrive around 15–20 minutes before your scheduled rental time to allow time for check-in, safety instructions, and boarding. Your rental begins at the reserved start time, not upon arrival. If you arrive late, your rental period will be shortened accordingly. We are unable to adjust or extend your time, and no refunds will be issued for lost time due to late arrival.
Late Returns: Boats must be returned no later than the scheduled end time. Late returns affect our ability to serve other guests and maintain timely operations. A late fee of $25 will be charged for every 15 minutes past the scheduled return time.
Guests are welcome to fish, but must bring their own gear. Cleaning fish on board is strictly prohibited. A $100 cleaning fee will be charged if fish are cleaned on the boat.
Water sports are permitted for experienced boaters only. Tubes and tow ropes are available to rent for an additional fee.
For safety and liability reasons, only company-provided tubes may be used; personal tubes are not allowed.
While we do not rent skis, wakeboards, or ski/wakeboard ropes, guests are welcome to bring their own approved equipment for use.
Enjoy Boat Rentals is pet-friendly, and your furry friends are welcome aboard! Don’t leave the dogs at home, bring them along for the adventure!
In accordance with Michigan state law, all children under the age of 12 must have a properly fitting life jacket on board. Children age 6 and under are required to wear a life jacket at all times while on the boat.
We make every effort to provide a selection of loaner life jackets; however, availability in specific sizes cannot be guaranteed. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure that properly fitting life jackets are available for all passengers before departure.
